Off to a great start...

The week ended yesterday and we celebrated by going to dinner at Magnolia Steak . We met another couple for dinner at 7:00...and left the restaurant 3 hours later. A really fun night. Came home and went happily to bed. One of my favorite parts about Friday nights is knowing that there's no reason to set the alarm on Saturday morning.

After a week of rain and drizzle and cold, the sun came out today and not just a little, but a full-blown beautiful day. Sunny, breezy, 70 degrees. Kevin was awake and ready to get up at 7:00 this morning, but I couldn't bring myself to climb out of bed yet. He left and came back and woke me an hour later. I tried to burrow back into my pillow and was almost grumpy to him, until I saw he had made and brought me breakfast...peaches, bacon, pancakes, and hot chocolate. I forgave him.

We took my car in this morning for it's first 1,500 mile check-up and then headed out to Towne Point Park for the Virginia Wine Festival . We met up with a group of friends, most of whom also teach, and had a really great time. We had to pick my car up by 4:00, so we left a little early. Now showered and changed we're ready to go out again and have decided to see Proof. All in all, a great start to the weekend.
