No, not a baby. But anybody have a heart-stopping moment? Sorry.
No baby, but we ARE expecting to add to our little family very soon. We've recently made the decision to adopt a kitten. I'm putting this here, so the rest of y'all can gently remind Kevin that he DID agree to this....
We have an 11 year old cat, that I've had since I was in middle school. We had pets at my house since I was an elementary schooler and I love having animals around. Kevin came from a pet free household and I never thought he'd say yes to taking on another pet. But he has and so now we're preparing to welcome a new addition to our family.
I'll keep you updated on when the little one will arrive.

I did not grow up in a pet-free household!
Oh gee, I'm sorry... let me be more specific!
You had a stray dog for a two years, who wandered into your yard, you kept him outside, and then he ran away again.
Not the same as having 3 cats (at some point or another) and a dog, all of whom sleep in the house.
Oh. And fish don't count either.
We adopted him from the animal shelter, built him a doghouse with insulation, a door, and shingles on the roof, and cried for weeks when he ran away.
My husband said "no dogs, no dogs, no dogs" and now we have three. All of whom are usually lolling about on our bed. He REALLY put his foot down about cats and now we have two (we had three, but sadly lost one) and HE'S the one who worries about THEM the most.
And when I say we have three dogs, I forgot to mention we sadly lost two dogs previously (it happens in 24 years) and we all shed tears together when they went to the Happy Hunting Grounds.
You know they've REALLY changed when they simply use the lint roller on their clothes in the morning with no snide comments.
Congrats on the new "baby"!
