Beach Baby, Beach Baby

Remember the old Beach Boys song with the lyrics,

Beach baby, Beach baby there on the sand
From July 'till the end of September?

And thus begins my summer. Yesterday, a girlfriend and I decided to hit the beach. We walked from my apartment (about a 15 minute walk) and then spent four hours on the sand. We spent some time in the water, and chatted and people watched and generally had a good time. The weather was clear and sunny, about 85 degrees. Perfect summer weather.

Today's paybacks. While I wore sunscreen, I didn't reapply as I should have and so I'm a bit toasty. Oh well. Guess that means I'll have to finish cleaning the bathrooms and then settle down for some hard-core scrapbooking today. Life is rough. ;-)

And I'll have to see if I can find any Beach Boys tapes (yes, I mean tapes) so that I can remove that song from my head...
