This is the type of post that you write when you don't have to say, but you feel obligated to say something.
The good and bad thing about summer is that I have significantly less to do. On the one hand, who's going to complain about having less work to do? On the other, I am so easily bored. My solution to this is to shop for whatever I can possibly get my hands on. Doesn't have to be expensive. Picking up a card from Hallmark will do. Money has a tricky way of running out, though. I have to find other ways to battle the summer boredom.
In happier news, my sailor will be home by the end of the week. I had to tack an extra day on to the countdown, as work will require him to spend an extra night on board. I wasn't amused. However, nobody asked either one of us, so we'll have to deal with the cards we've been dealt.
And finally, Scarlett discovered her reflection in the curio cabinet today and is completely fascinated. Or disgustingly vain. Either way, I'm amused.
That's all for tonight, folks!
