Despite feeling "left behind" by my team teacher, I went in today feeling confident that I could do whatever I needed to do to take a step forward. The final ruling is that they interviewed a to fill the vacated position, and hired, today. I was at school from 10-3 and at 3:00 there were still interviewees in the office. So...I'm still teaching only language arts. The new hire will be teaming with me, and she'll be teaching math and the content classes (science and social studies). So that's good, I think. Really nothing more to say about that, as I haven't met this individual yet.
I put all the stuff up on my classroom walls this morning/afternoon, so that my wall space is once again completely covered. As in June, when I had to strip everything down in my old room, I was amazed at the amount of STUFF that I have. But I use it all! Normally, this is where I would post pictures, but our camera has died, or at least is sick, so that's not going to happen today. Maybe I can get Kevin to lend me his camera phone tomorrow. I always like the way the room looks at the beginning of the year, before it's been kid-ified. It'll never look this put together or neat or organized again.
My sister, thank goodness, had the IV needle removed today and is slowly resuming her normal routine. That takes alot of stress off of everybody, but especially Mom.
Oh! And we had our carpet cleaned today! We have off-white carpeting throughout the dining room, living room, and bedrooms. When we buy a house, I'm going to remember NOT to install white carpeting. Luckily, we got a free cleaning when we renewed our lease back in June. So...Yea for clean carpets!
This is a bunch of randomness tonight. But...that's been my day.
