Gordon Biersch Review

We went out with friends to a wine tasting at Grape and G0urmet last night. It's a local place that holds free wine tastings on Friday and Saturday nights. While we didn't buy anything, it was nice to discover a new place and we'll be back.

Having sampled six Australian wines, we decided that dinner was in order and headed over to Gordon Biersch, a new restaurant in Town Centre. The beer and beverage menu is extensive, with an emphasis on German beer. The rest of the menu, however, is an eclectic mix of steak, asian, italian, and american. We each had a drink, appetizer, and main course for a reasonable price. The guys, I think, were a little put off by the service (it's a new restaurant), but I think those things will iron themselves out, and the service wasn't bad... just not top-notch. The food and drinks, on the other hand, were excellent. We'll have to go back in another month or two and allow the staff to redeem themselves in the eyes of our men. Or maybe it'll have to be a girls' night out...
