What I thought was a migraine yesterday turns out to be what can only be called the "crud." First year teachers spend the majority of the year sick, as they're exposed to every type of yuck that comes through the classroom. After that, it's a lot easier. Your immunity builds up. Still, this week the crud was going around our building and it's my turn.
The good news is that it's the weekend and I can spend all day on the couch, drinking juices and eating pudding.
The bad news is I had to skip the winery and dinner with my parents, who are weekending in Williamsburg. We agreed to meet up again in a few weeks, but it's still a bummer. I'm hoping tomorrow is better, since I've got a few errands to run this weekend.
Till then, it's back to mindless television.
"I get something out of them. When I feel down, I like to treat myself. Clothes never look any good, and food just makes me fatter, but shoes always fit." In Her Shoes ~Jennifer Weiner
