Starting a New Week

Last night, we went to see the Moscow Festival Ballet perform Cinderella at the Ferguson Center for the Arts in Newport News. It was the first ballet I'd been to, and a good "first" experience. The scenery was beautiful and the talent extrordinary. I marveled to Kevin at the tiny tiny waists on the bodies of the female dancers. Your eyes then moved down their legs, which were tightly muscled, and the contrast was amusing.

The winds of change are picking up here by the sea. Tomorro I meet with the advisor of the graduate major I'm trying to move into and from there Kevin and I will decide whether I will go back to work full-time next year. I'm nervous about making the decision, but feel ready to say, "Yes, this is what we're going to do, this is how it's going to happen."

Meanwhile, I teach 3 days this week and then myself and 3 other teachers will be spending Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the Virginia State Reading Assosciation Conference in Roanoke. While this is a professional event, we're also looking forward to a little R&R and fun female bonding time, too. Who says you can't mix business with pleasure?
