Well, We Tried

Weather was gorgeous today. Had plans today to go to a local wine festival with some friends. Went. Not going to link here because, it was a waste of time.

Seriously.

First of all, I was the only one who thought to order tickets in advance. So we got there and I was the only one in the group who could get in. The rest of the group decided to go get lunch nearby, while I went in and sampled and bought a few bottles to take home.

Never considered that I would not be able to buy a bottle with cork intact. I prepared to buy a bottle and the woman asked me if I wanted it chilled. Um, no. So she starts to open it and I told her not to bother, that I would take it out. No, she says, everything must be consumed on site. Since I was the only one there in my group....that wasn't going to happen. NOWHERE is this rule advertised.

So, for my $25, I sampled a half dozen wines, alone.

Now we know.

Like I said, "We tried."
