Sorry, Ruth Anne, no pregnancies OR kitties this time.
1. While Kevin was away, I had professional photographs taken. Me. Who is completely camera-phobic and the last person who would ever willingly pose for a camera. But they came out great, and despite the small fortune paid, I have a very pleased husband and that makes it all worth it. Good thing I had them done, too, because....
2. I changed my hair. May not seem like a big deal, but I've had some whopper of bad haircuts, so doing anything drastic (or even minor) is deal. This time, I had a perm put in. Pretty big change. Again, husband seems happy.
Looks something like that. Hard to tell, because I have too much hair to wear it down most of the time, and especially not on a breezy afternoon along the Savannah River. But you sorta get the idea.
Another item of note:
7 DAYS TILL THE END OF MY SCHOOL YEAR!!
I know there will be a day when, as a parent, this doesn't bring quite the sense of freedom and jubilation as it does now. But I'm not a parent yet....and it does. Our last day is next Thursday. Phew! Counting myself blessed to have made it through this year in one piece and even thinking I may have accomplished something along the way.
No traveling this weekend, thank goodness. I love to travel, and I don't regret either of the trips we've made the last two weekends, but this past weekend in Savannah, we didn't get back to our apartment until midnight, which was a challenge for both of us to get up on time and go back to work Monday morning. Can't wait for a weekend to just be.
