The elder of my four footed children has been my follower this week. Granted, I almost threw a hip out trying to avoid tripping over her while holding a pan full of fried rice...but she redeems herself when I crawl into bed and she settles next to my hip.
That, in turn, has had this song running through my head. Talk about being a child of the 80s. Be warned. Clicking on the link will have you humming the same thing over and over again for the next several days.
Sailor will be on land again soon. It's not the land I'd like, but at least I'll know where he is.
My kids this year are sooo much easier than the train wreck of last year. Ironically it's mostly the same kids I had last year, but minus a few key players. And that makes all the difference in the world. I'm really enjoying them.
We totally splurged and bought season tickets to the new performing arts center that's opening 20 minutes away. 10 rows back, center, to the Broadway series: White Christmas, Miss Saigon, Titanic, and Smokey Joe's Cafe. Brand new facility and it looks to be beautiful.
And finally, a friend of mine is pregnant with her third child, after 2 early miscarriages in the last two years. She's cautiously optimistic on this one and I'm excited for her and her family, and hoping I get to buy baby clothes.
And it's less than 48 hours to the weekend.
"I get something out of them. When I feel down, I like to treat myself. Clothes never look any good, and food just makes me fatter, but shoes always fit." In Her Shoes ~Jennifer Weiner
