Here it is. The annual "year in review" post. Really, it's a needed impetus to write something and I don't want to yet write a "new resolutions" post. I'm still working on how to phrase that one. And so...
January-We rang in the year in Charlottesville, Virginia, with our friend Doug. I was reaching a critical point at work that really climaxed in February and then leveled out at "horrible."
February-I made the decision to make a future career change. This meant that I started the proces of transferring to a new graduate program. Still happy I made the decision, though the next few months proved to be a challenge in this area.
March-Not much going on this month. Professionally, I went to the VSRA Reading Conference with three friends/colleagues from work and had a blast.
April- Happy Birthday to me! Spring break! Kevin left for 6 weeks in the British Isles. The shootings at VA Tech rocked our local community.
May-Glamour Shots done as a surprise for Kevin. Worth every penny invested. Changed my look completely and got a perm done. Also worth every penny invested. Kevin arrives home at the end of the month. Brother-in-law graduates from Savannah College of Art and Design and we traveled to Savannah for the occassion.
June- My boss announced that I would be moving up to fifth grade for the '07-'08 school year, against my protestation. At the time, I had a really hard time with the decision. Since then, I'm still unhappy with what happened, but have accepted, learned to enjoy the new role, and moved on. Congratulations to Abby and Darrell on their wedding.
July-Kevin spent most of the next two months at sea, with a few days home at a time. My in-laws came to visit for the first time since we were married. We learned our next assignment would be in Washington DC, which pleases us both, but REALLY pleases Kev.
August- Girls Trip! One of my best girlfriends, all the way back to middle school, and myself took off to San Francisco for four days. One of the most memorable experiences of the entire year. Then I drove from Virginia to Rhode Island to spend several days there with my sailor. Then to meet my parents for a few days in Savannah. All in all, spent very little time at home during August.
September- School starts again. Kevin leaves (again) for another 6 weeks in the British Isles.
October- Decided to leave the University where I was pursuing my degree, since it had become an endless battle over the feasability of continuing anyway. Started application to University of South Carolina.
November-Went to Pennsylvania for Thanksgiving.
December- I was formally accepted into the online graduate program at University of South Carolina. We hosted our first Christmas party. Also, used the first of our season passes to see White Christmas at the new performing arts center. Journeyed to Atlanta for the holidays.
All in all, it's been a busy year, but a lonely one, too. Kevin spent alot of time away from home, and I had a difficult year both in my professional life and my academic life.. While neither of us regrets anything that has happened, I think we're both looking forward to a year ahead and a fresh start.
Not tonight, since Kevin has duty aboard ship...but starting tomorrow!

The car hasn't been declared totaled yet, and it may not be. Looking over the estimate from the repair shop, I think they really highballed a lot of things. For example, they charged us $500 to replace both headlights when neither are broken, they just need to be remounted to the grill, which is broken. The more I think about it, I think this isn't yet a done deal.
Who knows where to download XRumer 5.0 Palladium?
Help, please. All recommend this program to effectively advertise on the Internet, this is the best program!
