Spazzing Out

We are now officially in the adoption process. Today, we went to the PetSmart adoption center and found our new "baby."

Folks, you should have seen it. It was love at first sight. Kevin picked her up and right away, seeing his expression, I knew his heart had been won. Be assured, mine was too. But that expression....It was a look, on a 24 year old man, that said, "Mommy, can we take it home?"

Beautiful.

So we filled out the adoption application and now we wait for approximately 48 hours while they check out all our information. Then, as long as everything checks out, she's ours.

She's a 10-month old tabby, very pretty. Oh, and her name?

Spaz.

Somehow, the fact that my darling husband picked a kitten named Spaz is...appropriate.

Congratulations on your upcoming four legged addition to your family. Have you told Callie yet?

I have told Callie. She doesn't seem to care. She knows she's still my baby ;)

Is that "spaz" as in "spastic", or more like "spa" in plural?

If she's not a "Spaz", you can turn the name around and be "Zaps". Or that could be her bizzaro world name. Or super-hero name. Or evil twin name.

Someone stop me.
