We are here, we are here, we are here!

Remember Horton? That's what I feel like. For the last couple days, we've been these little people living in our tiny speck of the world and now we are shouting out, "We are here!"

Kevin pulled back in on Tuesday. I didn't go to Homecoming, but I took half a day off of work and went to the ship on Tuesday afternoon. We visited with other reunited families and had subs for dinner, courtesy of MWR. He had to stay onboard for duty that night, so I came home and slept and then returned bright and early the next morning to pick him up and bring him back home. I took Wednesday off work, so we spent the day readjusting to each other. We went to a movie (that was so bad we walked out of it after the first 30 minutes or so), then to Tropical Smoothie cafe. I made spaghetti (a favorite) for dinner and then we watched another movie from Netflix on the couch.

Thursday was back to work and proved to be a challenging day for me. By the time I got home, I was beat. I made taco salad and then collapsed on the couch. We watched Ugly Betty and Grey's Anatomy. I have very few "must see" tv shows, but these two are my weekly television dates. I feel some pressure to be exciting and entertaining and fun and so I felt guilty about collapsing on the couch and watching two hours of television last night. Kevin dutifully watched both with me, though. Nice.

Tonight it's just me, as Kevin has duty. Tomorrow is massages at Changes and then a belated birthday dinner tomorrow night at The Melting Pot. Completely indulgent and completely worth it. Sunday is a matinee performance of Oh Susannah! (sound at link). Lots coming up. And even more as we enter the holiday season.

But it's nice to have someone else to do it with!

Whew! Thanks for the update.

Have some chocolate fondue for me.

Here's a bad riddle for the man:
Why don't they eat fondue in Wisconsin?

Because Wisconsin has a Fondue-lack.

[Fond du Lac is a good sized town. Ar ar ar.]

Hi,

Thanks for commenting over at my site. I used one of your comments in my reply to last week's question of the week. (I tried to let you know yesterday, but Blogger was having a bad hair day or something...)

All the best!
