Back to School

Almost.

I start the day after tomorrow, the kids don't start back until the Tuesday after Labor Day. I'm having trouble feeling that "first day" excitement right now. Hoping that as I really throw myself back into it, I get that energy back. Right now, it's not exactly a feeling of dread, but just not being ready to handle this again.

Or maybe it's the fact that I've been traveling for the last 3 weeks. This has left me with lots of good memories, but also feeling a little drained. I know, now, what my parents meant when they used to say that they needed a vacation from their (family) vacations.

Today, I went here, to the Scholastic Community Sale in my neighborhood. When you find one of these near you, go. Everything is 50% off of the retail price, and they're HUGE! This is the second time I've been, and I've never been disappointed. Among other things, I bought the first 3 Harry Potter books at $3/book. You absolutely cannot beat that.

So that's where we are. Where are y'all?

Hey! Hope your year starts out well... I'm not teaching this year (well, not my own class- I am a health educator, so I'm a guest speaker in classes); we'll see if I ever do it again.

Have a wonderful, wonderful year! If you need any extra support, ideas, etc., you know where to find me. :)

Peace,

Marybeth
