What Have We Been Doing?

First, we carved our annual Jack. I'm not a huge Halloween fan, so our Jack's are not scary, they're just cute. We have our routine. I am the official pumpkin scooper-outer. Kevin is official pumpkin carver. I think he came out well! We had candy to pass out, but only got a whoppin' THREE trick-or-treaters. Oh well.




Thursday was Kevin's birthday, but it's hard to celebrate midweek. This year, I went with an "all boy" gift and bought a PlayStation. I was excite, right up until it was time to present the gift and then I got real nervous. Never fear, though, it seems to be a hit. However, hardcore gamers we are not. The two games in our collection include Cars (like, the Pixar movie) and Tetris. Still, everybody is happy. We went to Melting Pot for dinner last night, Kevin's annual pick for his birthday dinner.

I had to spend an insane amount of time this weekend on schoolwork. Monday and Tuesday of this week are Parent Conferences for 1st quarter report cards. Lots of added "stuff" involved in preparing for those. The rest of the family enjoyed some down time together.

And finally, we went shopping for new glasses for Kevin. The old ones weren't "bad", but a little outdated. I had no idea how outdated (I guess I kinda got used to them) until Kevin decided on new ones. Love the new look! So much more "trendy" than the round frames. I'm a happy girl.
