How many of you are now singing New Kids on the Block? If not, you're obviously not of my generation.
But moving on....In terms of holiday music, the range of genres while I was growing up was vast. We listened to everything from Vienna Boys Choir to Johnny Mathis to Alabama. Still, there was always a "right" version, usually a more traditional one.
This year, I bought the new Josh Groban Christmas cd. He doesn't seem old enough that you could call him "traditional" and he certainly puts his own spin on things, but the cd is amazing. Fast becoming the most frequently played in my car stereo.
An especial favorite is a duet with Faith Hill of "The First Noel."
Unfortunately, the cd is too new for anything to be available on YouTube.
Instead, here he is (about 2 years ago) singing my favorite Christmas hymn, "O Holy Night."
I've already listened 3 times tonight.
"I get something out of them. When I feel down, I like to treat myself. Clothes never look any good, and food just makes me fatter, but shoes always fit." In Her Shoes ~Jennifer Weiner
